I know I'm going to to forget people in this list, so forgive me now. But what an incredible weekend of music, sounds, and great friends, celebrating Carbon's 30th anniversary! I truly can't express how grateful I am to all of the people who helped out, played, sponsored, volunteered, and frankly, worked their asses off to make the weekend a great success, as well as all those who have helped and supported the label over the past 3 decades!!!

First off, I need to thank Don Alcott and the Radio Social staff for being some of the best hosts I've ever experienced. It really made the weekend so much easier on me, when it came to logistics, planning, feeding the bands, etc. I can't thank Don enough! Also a huge thank you to Jim Callahan (and his helper) for his tremendous sound support. The whole weekend sounded great, perfectly flowed between bands, and was incredible (and easy!) to work with. And regarding other tech staff, a huge thank you to Isaiah Welch-Novels (audio), Connor Censak (video), and Daniil Kolchanov and my daughter Ella Tunis (still photography) for documenting the entire weekend! And staying on the support/staff side, thanks to Cam and the Psychic Garden, and Bar Bad Ending, for hosting the pre- and post- events, and Russ at Needle Drop Records for hosting the awesome in-store, which kicked off Friday's activities.

A heartfelt thank you goes to Grace Clement and Liam Grant for the utterly amazing wood-cut illustration. I asked them if they wanted to create a general 30YR cut, but after I received what they came up with, I just KNEW it HAD to be the primary logo/theme for the fest!

Thanks to our main sponsor Strangebird for their generous support, and to all of our other sponsors who all chipped $ to help cover the many costs of the festival, including advertisements, poster, postcard, and sticker printing, program guides, badges, and sound support. The list of sponsors include Born Collective, RoCo, Bop Shop, NeedleDrop, Free Form Freakout, FlourPalKids, Three Lobed, GottaGroove, Bell Tower, Sound Collector, Green Thumb Industries, Petty Bunco, Matador, and Sound-O-Mat, as well as a few anonymous donors who just wanted to support the cause!

Thanks to all of the fans who bought pre-sale weekend passes and tickets, and all those who came out and bought day-of tickets and passes. It was a huge help to have a sense of the interest level leading up to the weekend.

To all of the bands and DJs who played the various festival events. It was awe-inspiring to work with such a great group of people, giving it their all to put on such great performances, being incredibly easy to work with, keeping the weekend sets flowing seamlessly, and for generally being such a fun and creative group of people to hang out with and share music. I truly thank you from the bottom of my heart! Eric Hardiman just sent me a note that sums it up perfectly, "That community feeling is basically why we all do this stuff."

And finally, to my partner Cara, who managed the Carbon merch table the entire festival weekend, and for putting up with me (and Carbon) for the past 30 years, thank you so much!

I'm going to be updating the carbon30yr.com website, attempting to capture a bunch of photos and videos. If you have anything you'd like to share, feel free to DM me. The next issue of My Teeth Need Attention will most likely include some sort of wrap-up/summary of the weekend. And keep an eye out for some potential releases stemming from this weekend!

And just so you know, I'm not slowing down... well, maybe for the next day or two :)
